How we've helped Venton Conference Centre

With support from the Growth Hub Net Zero Grant, Venton installed a state-of-the-art solar panel system on the roof of its conference centre and accounts practice. This initiative was designed to reduce electricity costs significantly through on-site renewable energy generation and lower carbon emissions by an estimated 7.8 tonnes of CO₂ per year. The project is expected to save over 17,000 kWh of electricity annually, dramatically cutting Venton's operational costs while contributing to Cornwall's broader net zero ambitions.

The Growth Hub Business Growth Grant helped Venton to meet growing demand, diversify its offerings, and expand its facilities. The project was 50% funded by the grant and led to the creation of two new meeting spaces and a communal workspace to support freelancers and businesses. A high tech new boardroom and a larger versatile meeting room add to Venton Conference Centre's already impressive offering. This expansion has already led to the creation of two new full-time roles, with more expected as the centre continues to grow.
